Mountairy Lake 1996 Fern Fights Forest Fire – Saturday June 15 1996, Fern writes: So smokey I could hardly see the far shore. Came back to cabin and wet down the area again. Winds shifted all directions during the night. Once visibility cleared a little, I took a flight to the south. There are fires everywhere. Looks like my trap shack on a lake to the south may get burned too.
