  1. This has been a fun hour. I have enjoyed learning about your base on Eva and your outpost lakes. I have relived (VIA satellite) All of the lakes we fished for twelve years when we owned "Charlies Place" on Eva. We bought the Fitzgerald cabin in 1985 from Fitz. Sold it in Oct.1997 when Charlotte's health failed. John Cleaveley was our neighbor. John & I fished and hunted that country north for over fifty miles. Those were some of the best years of our lives. Jim Shuey, the Cains, Phil Sawdo, Dale & Heather and Pat & Evelyn were our neighbors and best of friends. I look forward to meeting you folks. We like to hunt and fish the last week of Sept. Red Paint has been our favorite Trout lake the last day or two of Sept. We have had over 45" of snow here in Ankeny, Iowa so far this winter. Another blizzard is upon us today with winds to 50mph. I-35 & I-80 are closed in the central area of Iowa.
Sign me up for your newsletter if you will. Yours truly, Bill Hamilton.

    • Thanks for the great post Bill. It is always nice to hear the history and stories from Northwestern Ontario. We will have the news letter live on the web site. I'm not sure if you use face book or twitter but they will link you up to our news letter. We are going to try to keep updating it as the season goes on to have current walleye fishing reports. We look forward to meeting you guys as well. Please stop in any time and don't hesitate to post some of your experiences on our site.
